Synopsis, biography and filmography

The Colloquium of the birds

One day, dawn no longer breaks. In that realm of darkness – which inevitably drew plagues, persecution, devastation, and death – a group of friends, members of CODEVIAP (Federation of Old Anarcho-Poets), is forced underground. In their covens and mysterious gatherings, the old anarcho-poets wonder about the time they have lived through and seek hopeful resistance, however small, through dance, poetry, and friendship. Now, nearing the end of their lives, they ask for help to cross into the other world. To the place where, with their new, non-human identities, they may be able to save something of what remains.Taking the Sufi myth The Colloquium of the Birds as its guiding allegory, this film is a fable that seeks to play with the symbolic, utopian ideas of friendship and poetry as weapons of insubordination against the current order of things.
